FAQ

Clear answers about selling assets and solving the rest.

Root & Stone keeps the work centered on recoverable value, owner approvals, and a clear plan for the property.

What happens during an asset assessment?

We review the location, timing, assets, and owner goals to determine whether the project fits our liquidation model. An assessment does not promise a sale or establish an appraisal value.

Do you sell individual assets?

Yes. You don't need an entire estate or property liquidation. Root & Stone can evaluate individual higher-value assets when the expected economics make sense.

Do you buy my asset from me?

Not under our standard service model. Root & Stone generally helps owners bring appropriate assets to market rather than automatically purchasing them at a wholesale price.

Do you guarantee what something will sell for?

No. Market conditions ultimately determine sale price and timing. Root & Stone can provide market guidance and follow the agreed sales strategy, but no specific sale amount or timeframe is guaranteed.

Are you a junk removal company?

Not primarily. Root & Stone begins with asset assessment and value recovery. Clearing and removal are supporting services when necessary to complete the project.

Can you handle an entire estate or property?

Yes. When multiple assets and accumulated property are involved, Root & Stone can create a comprehensive plan for what should be kept, sold, donated, recycled, or removed.

Is there a minimum project size?

Our liquidation model works best when a project contains approximately $1,500 or more in potentially recoverable value. That could mean one significant asset or a combination of assets throughout a property. Projects below that level may still make sense as a paid property service. The $1,500 figure is a qualification guideline, not a guaranteed valuation or sale amount.

Who approves prices and sales decisions?

The owner approves the starting price and overall plan before work begins. Material markdowns, donation decisions, and disposal decisions require client approval as outlined in the written scope.

Do you take title or receive the buyer's money?

No. For titled assets, the owner retains title and receives buyer funds directly unless a separate written arrangement clearly states otherwise. Root & Stone does not take title under the standard service model.

Can you stage or store items?

Possibly. Staging, lot use, and storage are considered case by case based on the property, assets, timing, and written authorization. They are not assumed with every project.

Can you handle donation and final clearing?

Yes, when appropriate. Donation, recycling, organization, and removal are supporting services after the value-recovery decisions have been made.

What do you not provide?

We do not provide legal, tax, appraisal, estate-administration, title-transfer, or financial advice. We also cannot manage unsafe, hazardous, disputed, or unauthorized property.

Where do you work?

Our current service area is Baldwin County, Alabama. Share the property location in your assessment request and we will confirm whether the project is a fit.

Have assets to assess?

Tell us what you have, where it is, and upload photos whenever possible.
